Lifting Equipment Is For Everyone

There are many businesses that must maintain an inventory in order to meet the needs of their customers quickly and efficiently. In the case of large products, a warehouse is often used where products can be stored on racks to save space. However, using a racking system creates a problem when items must be moved and transported. Having access to appropriate lifting equipment can reduce the time spent in stacking and transporting heavy products.

There are many different types of lifting equipment that is designed to meet the unique needs and requirements of a business owner. When choosing the equipment, one must take into consideration the weight of products, the size of the equipment and the size of the warehouse or space where it will be used. Another consideration will be the type of fuel that will be easily accessible to run the equipment.

Trucks that run on fuels such as electricity, diesel or gasoline are commonly seen as the powered pallet hand truck or fork lift. These trucks have a platform or seating area for the operator and controls that are within easy reach to maintain control of the truck. They are available in many different configurations and have features and functions that keep the operator and inventory safe when it is in use. The trucks can be used effectively with a weight up to 3000 kg and can be maneuvered easily in narrow pathways between inventories.

Another option that is used in small spaces for stacked inventory is the hand pallet truck. These trucks are controlled manually and have all controls in the handles. A safety feature of the truck is an automatic shut-off that stops the truck when the operator lets go of it. These trucks have a 2500 kg capacity with a 200 mm of lift. A unique feature of these trucks is the single and tandem loan wheels and scissor lifts that are found on most models. For smaller warehouses that have moderately sized pallets, these trucks can greatly reduce injury and discomfort from bending, moving inventory manually, or lifting.

The heavy duty pallet trucks are for heavier items and have a seating area with controls. Included features on these trucks are power steering, suspended floorboard, and AC traction. In addition, there is an entry bar and safety switch that gives the operator the ability to control the truck more easily.

Stackers are designed to be used in storage areas where products are secured to pallets and stacked. The reach of the forks varies as well as the amount of weight that the truck is capable of manipulating. There are both pedestrian and riding stackers with controls that are placed in easy reach of the operator. These types of trucks have many safety features so that the operator will not lose control when the truck is being used.

When you are comparing lift equipment, it will be important to think about the capacity of the truck you select and your long-term needs for the truck. If your business and inventory are going to grow, getting a heavy duty truck will be a wiser investment. If you have special needs and requirements for the truck finding one that can have additional features added will be helpful.

Discussing your requirements, needs and plans for growth with a professional who is knowledgeable about the different types of lifting equipment available will be beneficial when you are planning on making this investment. They will be able to provide you with important details and information about the lifts, their capacity and the size of truck that will best meet your needs.
